The fire took just over forty minutes to control
Just before 4pm today MFB received calls for a fire in an air conditioning unit in a two storey weatherboard house in Oakleigh.
Arriving on scene MFB firefighters in breathing apparatus attacked the fire that was in the roof space of the property.
Swift extinguishment of the blaze was made more difficult due to a high fire load in the house.
Firefighters contained the fire to the attic area and the fire was declared under control after forty three minutes.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and will be investigated by MFB's Fire Investigation Unit.
Nine appliances and twenty four firefighters tackled the blaze.
