Crews contain house fire in St Albans

MFB firefighters responded to a house fire in St Albans following several Triple Zero (000) calls just after 12:30pm.

Crews arrived at the Currunghi Court property within seven minutes to find a brick house well involved in the blaze.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked quickly to contain the fire.

One person was treated by firefighters on scene before being handed into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics. 

Victoria Police is also assisting on scene.

A community warning has been issued and the public is advised to avoid the area where possible while emergency vehicles respond.

The fire was declared under control 10 minutes after MFB crews arrived on scene.
