15 Nov 2012
An eighty year old lady suffered smoke inhalation due to the house fire last night.

The elderly lady and three other people were in a bungalow at the rear of the single storey, brick veneer home when the fire took hold.
The blaze severely damaged the house including the kitchen, three other rooms and the roof space.
The damage bill has been estimated at five hundred thousand dollars and the cause appears to be, combustibles left too close to a stove. At the height of the fire, Commander Undy issued a community warning for people in the local area to stay indoors due to low lying toxic smoke caused by weather conditions at the time.
Approximately 22 firefighters attended the blaze.
