Clifton Hill blaze quickly extinguished

Firefighters have stopped the spread of a fire that started in a garden shed limiting the damage to a Clifton Hill home.

Crews were alerted to property on Spensley St just after 9am and found a shed fully alight with the fire spreading to the home.

The fire made its way into the roof space and firefighters donned in breathing apparatus launched an internal and external attack to extinguish the blaze.

The fire was declared under control in 20 minutes after MFB’s arrival on scene.

All occupants have been accounted for and there are no reported injuries.

It is unknown what started the blaze and MFB fire investigators will attend to determine the exact cause.
