Chemical leak at AAMI Park

A hydrochloric acid leak from a water treatment equipment near AAMI Park prompted swift response from the MFB on Saturday.

Crews got the call at 3.54am on Saturday May 25.

The leak was small and contained quickly.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and protective suits.

Traffic was not severely impacted and there were no injuries reported.
