Chadstone townhouse fire

MFB appliances responsed to a triple-zero call from the occupants for a fire at property on Drummond Street in Chadstone.

The occupants thought they may have started a fire but could not see flames. 

The first appliance was on scene at 3:26pm and requested further assistance as the fire was throughout the basement and appeared to have spread up into the next level of the townhouse and into the garage. 

One of the occupants of the home sustained minor burns to their hand. 

At the heigh of the fire 6 MFB appliances attended with approximately 22 firefighters. 

Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended.
