Caravan burnt in Coburg North fire

MFB crews were called to a house in Coburg North just after 8pm this evening following several Triple Zero (000) calls reporting the sound of an explosion.

Firefighters arrived on scene at the Mashoobra Street address within six minutes to find a car and caravan on fire.

The fire was quickly contained by attending crews, who stopped it from spreading from the carport to the house.

The incident was declared under control after 18 minutes.

MFB will remain on scene checking for hot spots using thermal imaging cameras until the area is made safe.

It is not yet known what started the fire, the cause will be investigated.  

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria are also on scene assisting.
