MFB firefighters were called to Ringwood following reports of a car crashing into a house on Friday night.

Crews arrived in six minutes and found the car had reversed into the lounge of a home on New St. Due to the complexity of the incident, MFB Heavy Rescue operators and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) technicans were also called to assist.

The car caused significant damage and there were concerns about structural integrity of the property.

Firefighters, including USAR technicians and Heavy Rescue operators carefully removed the car from the house and shored up the damaged structure.

Crews remained at the scene for more than two hours before the area was declared safe.

Thankfully no one was injured.
