MFB crews were called to a fire at an office on Thistlethwaite St in South Melbourne at 11:14pm on Sunday night.

Upon arrival, approximately 30 firefighters accessed the premises through a roller shutter door and began to attack the fire internally.

Firefighters were able to contain the damage to the office space at the front and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

The fire was declared under control in 25 minutes and crews remained on scene to extinguish the fire.

Thankfully, there was no one found inside at the time of the fire.

MFB fire investigators will attend the scene this morning to determine a cause.
