Braybrook Unit Fire.

Fire engulfed a Braybrook unit on Saturday afternoon. When crews arrived the unit was well alight.

Reports of a person unaccounted for created further concern.  Additional crews from Sunshine, Footscray & Spotswood were sent.

Two males in their 30’s were transported to hospital suffering minor smoke inhalation.

The fire took 20 mins to control.

The total number of persons involved was eight. Six of those were from the first unit, with two of those aged 4 & 6 years of age.

There were working Smoke Alarms fitted which activated, although an occupant noticed the fire whilst vacuuming.

At this time no cause is known nor damage estimate available.
