16 Mar 2020
More than 20 firefighters were called to Cotham Road in Kew just before 9pm on Monday night.

MFB received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting trees on fire in the backyard of a home.

Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes and worked quickly to extinguish the trees before they caused any damage to any buildings on the block.

Thankfully no one was injured in the incident and the fire was declared under control after 10 minutes.

The cause is unknown at this stage.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also responded to the scene.
