Further to the firefighting involvement was that the home has a basement so care had to be taken when firefighters were doing the internal fire attack. The fire had spread to all levels of the building. No cause is yet to be determined given the state of the premises.

Given the intensity of the fire extra crews were responded when the initial appliance arrived. It took some 50 mins to bring under control but it will be some time to fully extinguish the blaze.

The residence were at home when the fire started and crews assisted with exiting the building, sadly the resident’s dog has been located but is deceased.
