Community Safety

Road Safety Education

Young and novice drivers comprise only a small proportion of licensed drivers, yet are overrepresented in fatalities and injuries related to crashes on our roads.

As an accredited road accident rescue agency in Victoria, the MFB have a clear understanding of the very real cost of road trauma to individuals and the community.

In response, the MFB has joined in partnership with other road safety agencies and local communities through the Fit to Drive Program to make a positive contribution to the safety of young people on the road.

The MFB Road Crash Case Study is a resource that is delivered as a component of the ‘Fit to Drive’ program, as part of the Year 11 half day workshop in participating senior secondary schools and TAFE colleges.
