Fire Ed for Preps

This program is designed for students in their first year of school.

Firefighters visit classes to teach simple fire safety concepts and make a return visit to revise information with students and to reward students by a visit to the fire truck.

The concepts taught include:

  • firefighters are helpers in our community
  • firefighters are friends
  • good/safe fires and bad/unsafe fires
  • crawl down low and go go go
  • safe meeting place
  • 000
  • stop, drop, cover, roll
