Fire Ed for Preps
This program is designed for students in their first year of school.
Firefighters visit classes to teach simple fire safety concepts and make a return visit to revise information with students and to reward students by a visit to the fire truck.
The concepts taught include:
- firefighters are helpers in our community
- firefighters are friends
- good/safe fires and bad/unsafe fires
- crawl down low and go go go
- safe meeting place
- 000
- stop, drop, cover, roll
