Smoke Alarms for Deaf or hard of hearing
People who are Deaf or hard of hearing will improve their home fire safety by installing a specially developed smoke alarm.
Due to the cost of these products the Department of Human Services has previously provided a subsidy to assist with purchase for people who are profoundly deaf.
This program has just been reviewed and funding will continue.
