Weekly Fire Safety Display

The MFB hosts practical fire demonstrations for schools, kindergartens, pre-schools and other community groups on various days through the week.

These displays can include demonstrations of various fire equipment including the Jaws Of Life, a presentation on basic fire safety and the chance to meet firefighters and see fire engines up close.

All demonstrations are free of charge however bookings are essential as numbers are limited.


The timetable for the various practical fire demonstrations are as follows:


Day: Every Friday, Except Good Friday and Christmas Day

Demonstrations in Eastern District alternate between Burwood and Ringwood fire stations on selected Fridays throughout the year.

Demonstrations are also run at Oakleigh fire station on selected Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the year. 

Please note that there are limited positions at these demonstrations.

There is no cost involved in these weekly fire station displays.
