Information for Municipal Councils
Each year, Municipal Councils are required to lodge a return that details the total Net Annual Value amount of rateable property within their council boundaries.
These are totalled and each Council is charged its percentage to make up the 12.5 per cent payable to the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB).
Municipal Councils must complete a Return of Net Annual Value form which is available for download.
