Statutory contributions are collected quarterly in advance as follows:

  • 12.5% from the State Government
  • 12.5% from Municipal Councils whose districts are within or partly within the metropolitan fire district
  • 75% from Insurance Companies (including insurance intermediaries for Lloyds).

This section of the website is has been designed to assist Municipal Councils, Insurance Companies, Insurance Intermediaries (Brokers) and Owners to accurately prepare their returns and premiums to the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, as set out under the Metropolitan Fire Brigades Act 1958.
