Training

In 1992, the MFB became the first fire service in Australia to obtain a state registration as a private provider of training and education.

MFB experts:

  • develop specialised courses for accreditation with the Office of Training and Tertiary Education (OTTE)
  • develop training from the National Fire Industry Qualification Framework
  • ensure all state-accredited courses meet the standards set by the OTTE
  • develop and implement evaluation methodologies and procedures to ensure the continuous improvement of quality training
