Implementation and Monitoring

The Victorian Disability Act 2006 provides for a fairer and more coherent approach to the provision of services for people with a disability in Victoria.

Enterprise Bargaining Implementation Committee

Implementation of the Disability Action Plan constitutes an introduction of change as defined in Clause 11 of the MFESB & UFU Operational Staff Agreement 2005 (the Agreement) and will be advanced through the consultation process pursuant to Clause 9 of the Agreement.

A central feature of the consultation process is the Enterprise Bargaining Implementation Committee (EBIC) that considers all matters relating to ongoing workplace reform and introduction of change. EBIC has established the Community Safety Working Party through which consultation on the Disability Action

Plan will take place, prior to ratification by EBIC.

Diversity Management Committee

Progress on the implementation of the Disability Action Plan will be monitored by the Diversity Management Committee which is chaired by the Chief Executive and Chief Officer of the MFB and includes Directors and Executive Managers.
